Familiarize yourself with World Event Center

If it’s your first time attending a virtual event at World Event Center, we encourage you to attend a live event or demonstration, review our User Guide, and test your system in advance to ensure the device you plan to use is compliant. Please take a screenshot of any error messages you get and call or email us right away so we can get you optimized for event day.

The person hosting the event will likely ask people if they require accomodations and let you know how they’d like you to handle things, however as a table/booth host, we suggest you prepare by reviewing accessibility best practices here in advance.

Optimize your avatar to make it easy for people to find, follow, connect and book an appointment with you (if you choose)

You can optimize your avatar in advance in our showroom by clicking on the circle you’ll find in the top right-hand corner of your screen with your initials on it. You can also do this when you are attending the event. Click on “Edit My Profile”, upload your photo (<500kb) and fill in all the blanks. The information will be there every time you network with us. You will be asked for:

  • Name
  • Headline
  • Job Title
  • Company
  • Facebook Page
  • LinkedIn Page
  • Meeting Scheduler URL

If you experience any difficulties, click on the ? icon, then ask or search for answers.

Prepare a PowerPoint or Google Slides Presentation

As a Vendor, it’s recommended you “share your screen” at your table while you meet and greet visitors. You can choose to share a PowerPoint, Google Slides presentation or video that rotates through your products and services. A great alternative is to simply share your website. However, in the interest of making communications barrier-free, we suggest avoiding sound.

Arrive Early

On event day tables locations will be assigned on a first-come-first-serve basis, please come 15 minutes early to ensure you get in and get a table. When you join you will be placed in a lobby until you are let in by the host who will then assign you your table and change it to whatever name you want, 38 characters or less. Emjoi’s are a fun and welcomed addition to table names.

  1. Click on the above link to enter the job fair
  2. Visit the “HELP DESK” for an audio/video check
  3. Follow the host to your assigned table
